Police Chief Hanson Retires
Lenexa Kansas Police Chief Hanson's retirement party was held last Thursday. It was held in the Lenexa Community Center. The place was packed. And many were packin.
The Chief of 21 years (and police department service for 38 years) is loved and respected from city limit to city limit and from Coast to Coast. Friends and peers came from all over the country. Dignitaries with FBI, Highway Patrol, Secret Service and State of Kansas in their titles spoke and told stories. They used words like: mentor, wisdom, trust, friend, honesty and integrity.
I count The Chief as a friend. But I prefer to use words like: "Thank you for making Lenexa the best place in the world to raise a family." May God continue to bless you Chief Ellen Hanson.
